Getting Sims to leave your household?

#1SyberiaWinxPosted 11/8/2010 2:28:44 AM
Due to only being able to have one household with six members, I'd like a certain member to leave. She was my son's wife, and they broke up. How do I make her leave. I can't do the Move option, because I have no house to move into, and it seems kind of insane to move every time you want to lose a sim. And I don't want to kill all Sims in this position off, since that might affect future generations. So, is there any simple way to get a single sim to leave without uprooting the whole family?

try the invite out option in the cell phone. if that fail, you can always kill that unwanted sims.

You cant compare RE5 to Dead Space, its like comparing a broken SDTV to brand new HDTV.

I'm pretty sure invite out is to invite other Sims out someplace...>_> And I already said I don't want to keep killing off Sims. That could really throw the game off, and it depresses the whole household.

You could maybe try the move out option on the cell phone when you're playing the sim you want to move out. I'd save first, just in case, but that's all I could think of to do.

Furthermore by kicking them out you erase them from your genealogy/family tree thing. Not cool, I know. I'm having the same problem. Sharing a house with your ex makes a better sit-com than a functional household.

Moving out as the Sim you want out erases whoever doesn't move with them. Pretty sure I said something to that effect in my original post.O_o I just want to kick them out. Killing off a Sim might mess up the game, since killing off Sims needed to make future generations is bad. But also, the death of a Sim in the household causes the entire family to get a very bad moodlet.

This makes two very irritating problems with the game. Not being able to kick out just one Sim and not being able to get gravestones for lost loved ones.

Call me confused.

Anyway, I have yet to talk to anybody who understood the fundamentals of moving out in this game.

you could kill the sim lol on the sims 2 i used to build a room, put an archway in, tell them to go inside then take the door away.

or you could try "mean" socials on them til you get the option to kick em out. not 100% on that but it makes sense to me.

I keep mentioning why killing the Sims is not something I want to do, so could people stop suggesting it?>_>;
