Oh please, the barret is the easily the games easy mode gun. Fires faster than a rapid fire smg, hip fire beast, zero recoil, one hit kill, infinite range. --- Insanity leads to chaos then to solitude, the fruitless effort of adding meaning to what is meaningless!!! | |

That's the mentality of the community. Mw3 does have much better diversity in terms of selection. But the fact remains that both games have an easy mode gun, so all those other guns fall to the wayside. And people have to fight an uphill battle when going against the easy to use guns. Except that's not quite true with this game. The guns I listed all have very good statistical reasons to use over the ACR/PP90m1/MP7 once you get to know their quirks. The Mk14 is two shots at nearly any range (and one-shot headshots) with zero recoil; the Type 95 is so good it's arguably OP; the G36c is a monster once you learn to control the recoil as it has an SMG fire rate with ACR damage; the SCAR-L is a faster shooting ACR with better irons if you're not using a suppressor; the P90 has a gigantic starting magazine and a decent fire rate to go with controllable recoil (and a 5 shot kill at range as opposed to the PP90m1's 6); the Striker and USAS, especially with Damage and Ext. Mags, are fantastic shotguns; the MSR/Barrett/AS50 are all very strong sniper rifles that actually work (unlike the Black Ops ones); the FMG9 and MP9 are very nearly primaries (and are better in some senses, unfortunately); and the LMGs in general now, and especially the L86, actually work great at controlling areas since they all have 100 round belts/mags and high damage. I can't think of a single statistical reason to use the Galil/Commando/Enfield/AK47 over the FAMAUG, and similarly with the MPL/Spectre/MP5k over both the FAMAUG (which kill much, much faster than these SMGs without Rapid Fire) and the AK74u (which without RF is still poor compared to the FAMAUG). Idk, I still mainly used the M16 in BO and loved the masterkey, both of which were nerfed/ruined in MW3. (I still preferred the flamethrower attachment against non-flack jacket pro users btw.) :p I also seemed to do much better in general with an MPL/Spectre than with a FAMAS, though I always use RF with an smg. (also love the better mobility+lightweight+hipfiring while moving with steady-aim) Honestly I still see just about as much ACR/MP7 as I do fam/AUG since I still play BOTH, but I honestly think the main reason BO has more players than MW3 is because of the players that don't like MW3's support package, deathstreaks, chainable KS's, and ofc how IW encourages/supports camping. Personally, I doesn't bother me as much getting killed in BO as it does in MW3, though I'm not too sure why, lol. --- Common sense seems to be more uncommon. | |

Sure there are a lot of people who use the ACR and mp7... But it's not EVERYONE in the lobby. I still see people with shotties, quickscoping sniper rifles, almost ALL the assault rifles except for 2, and somehow magically the lmgs too. Tl;dr You're wrong. BO had tons of usable weapons. What is everyone talking about? There is more gun centralization in MW3. Guess who uses the ACER? EVERYONE --- The Vita Board ( +.[____].+) Where the trolls get mad about being trolled! | |
Zombies has it's own separate player count. I can't say this enough. It's easy to see if you just go into zombies and use your eyes to read the text on the screen. This isn't an agree or disagree thing, to the person up there that said "i agree zombies has blah blah blah." You can agree or disagree with something like "i prefer black ops". MW3 and Blops have equivalent gun variety in my opinion. but blops seemed more fun to fun because of the way the guns looked. we all know the infamous FAMAUGALIL but who didn't love it? I'll use the aug for a sleek feel, the galil for a heavy feel, and the Famas for a competitive feel. And the commando and ak47 were opposites but were both beautiful man. I loved the stoner and m60, and psg1 and l96. I loved the mp5k, ak74u, MPL and Mac11. But let's get to mw3 now..... ACRTYPESTRIKERPP90MP7DRAGUNOVL86LSWBARRETTRSASSUSAS12. These Guns from mw3 all have a cheap,easy mode aspect about them. They require no skill whatsoever. And what saddens me is the good players who choose these guns for the sake of winning and not for fun or skill improvement. I mean blops had a small percentage of gun variety but they were all fair right? And it's not like there wasn't any gun that couldn't stop the FAMAUGALIL74u line up? MW3 failed with gun balance and blops slightly failed with gun options. I can't really understand why people hate blops on a general basis. The game mechanics is way fairer and better than in mw3. At least people ran around in blops, even with ghost and whatnot. But in mw3 people still creep around with blind eye and assassin and their acrs. I have so much fun in blops that if I get hardscoped I either laugh or don't complain. But in mw3 nope. Straight rage fest. And you know why? Are you trying to tell me that the ACR,MP7,STRIKER are more dominant in their classes than the FAMAS, AK-74U and the SPAS were in Black Ops. I just can't, for the life of me, see how the ACR is easy mode when the FAMAS wasn't. Honestly, the ACR and the MP7 are just victim of the usual COD thing of hating the "best" gun in each class. Personally I use neither guns and I find other guns (actually several) better than those guns. But in Black Ops the FAMAS and AK-74u were CLEARLY dominant. What IW does the best is make these guns easy to use, but they are outgunned by a more skilled player using more powerful guns. I use the G36C and feel like I'm dominant over ACR users and I welcome the sight of them in any game. In Black Ops the FAMAS was the most powerful gun in the game with very easy to manage recoil, Having a bad player able to outgun you with his FAMAS when you are using just about any other gun was more frustrating than anything in MW3. And this quickscoping stuff is so overblown, Yeah it can be annoying to be hip-fired by a sniper etc but in your games do these quickscopers finish on top of the scoring? Do they really have a massive advantage over normal gun users? No they do not. They are merely an annoyance not a game breaker. | |
Black Ops had it's problems but I enjoy playing it much more than MW3. Why I like it more is because of it's simplicity, better maps, perks, gun balance and no stupid deathstreaks. | |
For as much complaining went on in Black Ops during that game's prime, I must have been one of the lucky few who didn't experience most of the "problems" others had in that game. Yeah every now and then you'd get that BS death when you were clearly behind cover or had moved to where the other player absolutely had no line-of-sight on you but somehow got you anyway, but I always chalked most of that up to the other team having host advantage. And that's the main thing that ever bothered me about Black Ops, was host advantage having that much of an impact on the game. Course I just port forwarded and have had an open NAT for quite a while now so that stopped becoming an issue for me after a point. MW3 is still good COD-style fun but it's the map design for this game that just kills it for me. Black Ops had fun maps and they were all a little unique, kind of reminded me of MW2 in a way in that there really wasn't any map I didn't want to play when I saw it in a lobby. MW3 has many maps I hate for lack of uniqueness if anything else. The ones I like hardly ever come up for me (Arkaden, Bootleg) and it seems like the game just wants to force-feed me Downturn, Seatown, Bakaara, Fallen, etc. You know, maps that the dev team clearly just said "That was a good map, let's just move it to another city and reskin it." Only they're not good maps. DLC maps have been better, but not enough. If this game had the map design of Black Ops or MW2 I'd probably like it a lot more than I do. In those games, I wanted Prestige 10 and Prestige 15 respectively. This one I stopped at 2 and don't at all care about not getting to the top, already have my eye on the next game.
