Realistic Reloads?

What do you think about making it so that when you go to change a magazine with 9 bullets in it, you lose those 9 bullets? It would make SoH come into play more as well as encourage more use of pistols in some cases. Would break the habits of people that insist on reloading after every single kill and encourage people to be more precise and perhaps spray less. Scavenger would be more useful.

Never really liked having ammo counted by magazines instead of... ammo....

I NEED every bullet to count and my mag to ALWAYS be full :)

I don't think that's a good idea...BUT

I like what the Chronicles of Riddick did and count every individual mag instead of bullet. That way, when you reload you lose that magazine.

What would the point of this be? Is people reloading after each kill with an automatic weapon really that much of a problem to you? It's the smart thing to do.

Its not a problem.
Its a suggestion.

For the sake of adding more realism to the game.

But why try to add realism in such a limiting and unnecessary area?

Its not too limiting.
Everyone spawns with around 2/3 extra magazines, and they have a sidearm.
Unless they seriously reload that often, its not like they'd be running out of ammo too quickly.
And if they do, they should stop. Its a bad habit; Reload when you're running low, not just after a kill.

Hell, it would give people more incentive to use Scavenger/Scav Pro.

For me it wouldn't be so much about realism as it would be about strategy I guess. When you talk about every bullet counting, I mean this kind of thing would promote better accuracy and whatnot. Not like I care if this never gets implemented, it isn't such a big deal.
