COD will not die, Until a better shooter comes out

FPS games have and always will be very popular COD is the best simple if it was not it would not sell as many copies as it does.

Think of its rivals they are all poor during 2011 I brought homefront, battlefield, brink all of which were very bad and nothign compared to COD at that point I decided I liked COD so why waste my money on things which are not as good

I only have interest in FPS games and the day they stop making FPS games I will stop gaming.

Except that they aren't. Do you even play CoD? Every single one feels very different from one another; just because each one has guns, perks and killstreaks doesn't mean they're the same game.

What kind of changes are you honestly expecting?

Something like they did with COD4. After COD4, the games stayed the same ol' same ol' like they did with the WW2 oriented CODs 1-3.

This hit it right on the head. A trend as big as CoD can only go away if something replaces it.

I will not be buying the next IW game however, and mainy because of the maps. MW3 has some pretty crappy maps full of "debris" and too many routes. I really thought it was no biggie when those two dudes left but now I realize how important they were.

I will buy Blops 2 thought because Ive always enjoyed 3arcs games better.

If the main reason you don't like this game is due to the maps, the I would say to hold off on BO2. IW only worked on the SP portions, and the MP maps are designed by Raven Software, which also made the god awful DLC maps for BO. They'll be returning to ruin BO2's maps as well.
