The 3ds hurts my eyes, and NOT when it is on 3d mode, just the regular screen, it didn't happen with the other ds. my question is can i do anything to not have my eyes hurt so much?

Turn the brightness down?

Turning down the brightness may help. If you're like me and never bought anything beyond the original DS (phat) then your eyes probably won't be used to the level of brightness the 3DS defaults to.

Do you think it could be the brightness? It really bothers me, because i like to play my DS for extended hours yet after 2-3 hours my eyes are real sore.

Wear sunglasses while you play your 3DS at minimum brightness and on power-saving mode

You need to see a doctor and see one fast.

Take a 15 minute break after every 45 minutes of play.

I would experiment with the brightness. Unless you are reading text on it then I don't know what could be the problem. If turning down the brightness doesn't do anything, you may want to consult a doctor.
