Recording/Streaming Gameplay from a 3DS... Directly?

#1sc4r4bPosted 11/18/2011 12:02:50 AM
Is it possible to acquire Direct Audio/Video to Record (or ideally Stream via twitch) 3DS Gameplay?

This quality: (as in, not webcam quality)

Ideally without resorting to measures like this:

There is nothing to directly get video output unless you mod it.

Most videos are done via tripod and camera. Here's the best (and most expensive) way to do it.

Hopefully they just save everyone the trouble and add an A/V output on the revision whenever that comes out. i'd like to record my gameplay videos on my DVD recorder for YT upload just like i did with MKW, thanks!.

no way. AV output on a handheld portable device is pointless. yes, even if the PSP had it, i still think it's pointless.

it's a portable, with it's own 3D screen. why would you wanna turn it into a console that hooks to your TV? get a console instead.

pardon if my posts suck, i post by tapping on the handset button on a one-way analog handset. i saw Hannibal Lecter do it.

There are plenty of quality portable games out there and it would very much help for free advertising of the games if nintendo puts an AV output on their future portable devices, so Gamers can post "Lets Play's" on Youtube or stream gameplay on Twitch.tv.

(3D tvs do exist aswell.)

If you don't want to use a simple AV output cord, having one added won't ruin the experience for you. The input for the cord on the device can be easily covered, and it will be as if it was never there to begin with.

You can connect the sound directly, but not the video. Using a normal camera with a tripod should be fine though. As long as the video has high quality sound, the video quality won't be a huge problem.
