Vyers posted... Rare is MS. Every employee of Rare is a MS employee. Every single penny made by Rare is profit for Microsoft. How in the world does 100% ownership of a company magically not mean "100% ownership of a company" only for one company in the entire free world?
some people are a little thick around here it seems. How many times does this need to be said? M$ physically owns the IP of B-K and conkers and anything else rare had when they left nintendo.

Nintendo is probably kicking themselves now after what M$ did to Rare lol and where nintendo sits in the market. No doubt if M$ (god forbid) sells off Rare for some odd reason they wont let go of any IP. M$ is far more cut-throat than Nintendo ever was.
Lets put something in to perspective here. Rare no longer exists. M$ has dissolved everything but the name for marketing purposes only. If they chose to sell the rare name, the IP could go with it if M$ (now owner over everything that is Rare) and the buyer has that in the contract. Otherwise, just as nintendo had the option, they could keep anything of value rare had including all IP.
From: Ghetsis | #010 Why does Rare need to ditch Microsoft to make a 3DS Banjo game?
Why does it matter? The Rare that works for Microsoft isnt the same Rare that made the past 3 games since a lot of key workers arent with them anymore. If they did make a 3DS game,it wouldnt be as good since they arent the same people.

That's almost completely wrong. And Nintendo never had ownership of any of Rare's IPs.
Some of you rare lovers don't seem to realize that the good developers left rare before the buyout to form FREE RADICAL, the developers behind timesplitters but then they went bankrupt cause of haze and were bought out by crytek.
The rare developers working at ms rare are not the original rare, the reason nintendo sold rare is cause almost all the talented devs ditched rare and the games were getting worse, nintendo is smarter than alot of people think. Perfect dark zero is fun if you think of it as its own game but as a perfect dark game, it just sucked, it didn't have a cheat menu, which was what made the original so addicting, I remember rare promised they were gonna release an update to increase multiplayer to50 and above players instead of being 32 players and it would have counter ops and stuff that was not put in due to time frame, they never released it.
Who wants rare to even make a game on the 3ds, OH WAIT rare fanboys who think ms owns the original rare and don't do there research. Only good games from rare would be REMAKES! MS probably bought the IP's cause ms is owned by a genius who is not there half the time anymore and is saving poor countries who need the money, anyway ms buys the IP to games when they buy the developers as a back up for if the devs wanna leave like bungle and the halo series, ms bought halo when they bought bungle as a back up for if the devs wanted to do there own thing.
