Doesn't bother me. I stopped buying DS consoles after I bought a Launch Phat, and then the DSLite. I don't have the money, nor do I need the conveniences of a DSi.

Besides that, I have foresight. and I know new consoles come out every 5-6 years..

So in other words, I DO like the fact that the 3DS was announced one year after the DSi. Now I have a new console to look forward to with no buyers remorse.

There's a very good reason Nintendo did that, money.

I also suspect they were testing the waters for the 3ds (mainly the camera and multimedia functions).

I only bought mine because i had an original ds from around launch and it needed replacement and probably wouldn't have bought a lite because it was almost exactly the same as the original.
if i knew this was coming out i wouldn't have bought it

Considering how I haven't bought the DSi yet, I'm waiting for this.

I learned my lesson during the GBA releases. I didn't have the original, but I got an SP after it came out. Then, they redesigned the light on the SP, and bought another. then got pissed to find out they were releasing the micro. But I liked BC, so I stuck with my second SP.

After that situation, I got pretty hip to Nintendo's plans on redesigns and how much money they want people to spend. They make the consoles last so you don't have to rush out and buy another, unless you want added features.

I didn't buy the DSi because there were no games that I wanted that required it.
