I know we're all excited for this new system, but:

Stop saying it's better than Xbox/GC/Wii graphics. They look damn fine, but let's not get carried away.

You're also comparing these tech demos to the best of the best of last gen.

Not trying to take sides, but it'll take awhile until you see the full potential of hardware.

Well, those were rumors, and I think they were put to rest after the presentation. But they do indeed look damn fine.

Agreed. Not trying to downplay it's awesomeness, just thinking people are forgetting what games looked like last gen when they say that.

So are the people saying they're better.

Like the other guy said, these are lousy tech demos pushing games that rival mid gen GC graphics. You don't really think it isn't possible for 3DS games to beat out GC/Xbox games by the end of its lifetime?

I've been looking at a lot of MGS3 pictures on the PS2, and to be honest, 3DS version does look better...

Yes, that's a PSP image on the left, but still, all the PS2 pics don't look as good as the 3DS.

I'd say it's PS2/GC quality. No bump mapping like xbox. Definitely more umph than the PSP comparing the two Metal Gear games.

I'm pretty sure the Gamecube also support bump mapping
The bump mapping the Xbox used(I don't remember) is much more advance then the gamecube though.

The Xbox used normal mapping, which the GC and PS2 couldn't do.
