What can we learn from the system itself? I'll start.

Look to the left of the control stick. That's a volume slider. No more silly +- buttons from the DSi. Good news, imo.

What's the slider on the right of the top screen for?

I liked the buttons better. The slider on my DSLite isn't very sensitive so it goes from no volume to medium volume.

What I'm saying is that the volume slider had better be durable.

The slider on the right of the top screen is the 3D slider. you can turn it off, or you can change the severity of the effect.

The L and R shoulder buttons look sturdier <_<

Top right screen slider controls the effect of the 3D graphics. You can turn them completely off, or have them all the way up. And of course anywhere in between. Which is really nice, because the 3D may not be fun to use when in the car or on the move.

"whats that slider by wireless for?"

That looks like an on/off switch to me. maybe you can turn it off to conserve battery life?
