I can see it busting out a year or 2 later with HD graphics, 3D support and totally stealing all of the 3DS's 3rd party support. Well, I guess Nintendo has a good jump on the competition.

I found it funny Sony said like 50 times during their conference "We have the best 3D!" :P

Obviously they're gonna copy this like they copied the wiimote. :P

All I know is, the N64 didn't steal the PS1's thunder.

I'm wondering if I should actually look at this as a refined DS or the next handheld generation. Anyway, the graphics look great to me; i'm just afraid sony will waltz in and stomp Nintendo in technology.

Yeah it's kind of amusing that the Nintendo fanboys get all up in arms against the PSP when it is actually a damn fine handheld and actually cut more into Nintendo's sales then any handheld ever.

Game Gear the former champion of non-Nintendo handhelds was nothing to Game Boy, PSP actually did quite well for itself over the course of time.

It's definitely a new generation.

Here's a little analogy for ya...

Game Boy : DS
Game Boy Pocket : DS Lite
Game Boy Color : DSi
Game Boy Advance : 3DS

After seeing Sony's E3 presentation, they'll be lucky to be around in 2 years.

thanks for the analogy. :D
I guess what i'm wondering is if the 3DS uses cutting edge graphics technology or not. Nintendo had some real reservations with the Wii (although I am a Wii fan), and that really didn't serve them well in 3rd party support. Once again...I don't care....i'm not a graphics whore. I'm just trying to evaluate this from a business perspective.
