I don't think so. That's not how the projection for 3D in this system works.

The only thing that they mentioned specifically that would break the effect was smudges on the screen, but this was more implied than outrightly stated.

They should have wipers on the top screen.

I can see a screen protector possibly changing the effects of the 3-D - no one really knows how the effects are made yet anyway.
