The graphics are close to PS3 level - proof inside

So I did a comparison with the 3DS version of MGS3 with the PS2 original side by side, see how much times have changed. It looked like this

As you can see, pretty big difference and the 3DS is obviously a lot better than the PS2. That much is a given, it's a much newer console. Then I thought I'd push it.

Here is a comparison of MGS3DS with the PS3 version of MGS4

It's pretty evident 3DS has amazing graphics, and the jags should smooth out tremendously in motion.

Yeah the 3DS has nice graphics but it got 3D aswell which sure will make it even greater... and it isnt even released yet there is still time left to show its real power

That's what i thought about the RE screens... and then Digital Foundry unvoluntarily admitted that they were done in real-time... so yeah. I'm sure it's not PS3 level, but it's pretty amazing none the less.
