Will they ever bring back the "Gameboy" title?

from a nostalgia perspective, I kinda miss it. But on the other hand it certainly seems more acceptable, as an adult, to not be handling something called a gameboy. To be honest I think this is Nintendo's way of growing with their demographic and knowing that their audience is getting older.

Yes, the Gameboy was iconic... and it's pity that it's gone I suppose...

But this is really the Virtual Boy 2 :D

Only took them 15 years.

Their audience is getting older now? <_>

I would've thought the very opposite. Or at least that Nintendo assumed so.

Sadly Gameboy was in the past and everyone grew up so we'll just have to make due with Nintendo 3DS.

Gief Game Gear II TBQH.

Actually, a handheld would probably be slightly more viable than a home console for SEGA to come back with... if only the market wasn't full as it is... and the 3DS is coming.

Judging by their sales DS is more familiar now.
What if they made like a "gameboy DS"?

The average age of gamers is rising, I think it's like... people in their 30s now? Plus the Wii and DS are said to sell well among older people.

According to this article from 2004, they still had plans to continue Game Boy brand after the DS launched:

I wonder where the prototypes ended up... Probably in storage somewhere with the SNES CDs...
