under 'look' - it says final design is TBA

personally, this look has grown on me, I wouldn't mind if It changed, maybe get rid of that 'raised platform' look on the touch screen.

remember when they first showed the original DS? That looked HIDEOUS!

Well, the diagonal placement of D-pad VS buttons strikes me a bit as odd, but maybe they expect the analog to become the main control method. If that's not the case, then the design would be more optimal if the power button was moved somewhere else, the buttons were moved down and a 2nd analog stick above that (more than enough space, and if it's under the buttons it's easy to accidentally touch it while playing).

Though... I also wouldn't mind it being a bit bigger, with a bit bigger screens.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

Heh, yeah, very unlikely to be the final full look if this is anything to go by-

That looks almost exactly like a DS Phat. <_<

It looks a lot different...

It's hard to tell they're even the same system besides the dual screen. It's like going from the Phat to the 3DS in style, even moreso than that i'd say...

Is it just me or does the old design of the Phat actually look better than the one that ended up releasing?

I would love for it to have a 2nd analog stick under/above the face buttons. It does seem like there's plenty of room over there for one.

Get used to the design because I don't think its changing.

In this interview the man behind the 3ds(Hideki Konno) pretty much says its not changing.

http://ds.ign.com/articles/109/1099199p2.html

IGN: Knowing what happened with the DS, when they first showed the DS back at E3 2004 -- it changed. When it came out there were a number of differences in the form factor, and some other more subtle changes. Are we going to see this exact 3DS system at its launch, or will there be subtle differences?

Konno: I think you should be looking forward to this one right here.

??????? nothing new.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, a second analog nub is redundant because aiming is handled by the touchscreen.
