IGN: One question about the 3D technology. I'm kind of wondering why it uses an analog slider to adjust the depth of the 3D. Why use analog, versus digital buttons? And actually, the volume's back to using a slider too. On the DSi, the volume is controlled by switches -- plus and minus buttons. Why go to sliders now?

What do you think? I liked the buttons better.

I could care less either way. They both worked fine for me.

I think they made the 3D slider analog because it may have to physically move the pixels behind the screen.

The proper phrase is "couldn't care less". "Could care less" means you care.

I was waiting for something like that to happen. xD

you said that. you don't have to be so hasty to correct people. I did read the topic, but you posted something i thought i had an answer to. the volume slider doesn't bother me either way.

3D is analogue because it's the only way for it to move smoothly. It isn't physically changing anything, it's changing the images to be at a closer perspective to lower the effect.

The volume is analogue for similar reasons. Analogue is always the proper method for changing anything in audio. Digital has many limitations, many people wish to have a volume between the set levels.

It's giving more control to the people.

I think it'll be more precise this way. I just hope my hand doesn't go and mess it up mid game.

i think a better question is why did nintendo use buttons for volume in the first place? i think they just wanted to differentiate the dsi from the other versions of ds.
