You think the casual market will die on this system?

Nintendo always hits string out of the gate for gamers...
in 2 years you'll be asking yourself "where's all the hardcore games"

That's not really true. When the DS was unveiled it was all about "Blue Ocean" marketing. Then, of course, just look at what game is packed in with the Wii!

I doubt that Nintendo will shy away from the casual market, I just wish they wouldn't prioritize the casual gamer over the more dedicated gamer.

if Nintendo keeps the price at or under $200 then the casuals will probably spend that to buy it, but if its more then that(and i don't see how they could price it THAT low) then it will take awhile, and by then i think most of the "quick lets make a crappy minigame collection and get rich quick!" mentality will have died out.

another thing to note is that E3 is what more...I hate term, but "hardcore" gamers watch. They are also the ones that are more likely to rush out and by the new system Day 1. So of course we;'re going to see more games that cater to them initially. As time passes and smaller companies that make more casual games starts developing for it, we'll see some casual stuff for the 3ds too.
