From what I see it's just a DS with a fancy screen and as you can turn off the 3D I don't see the point of buying one.
Death is certain, only the time is uncertain.

If the current design of the 3DS card stays the same, you won't even be able to get it into your DS without cutting off a piece of the card.

DS probably won't know how to read it anyways. Even if it did by some huge screwup, it wouldn't have nearly enough horsepower to do what the card tells it to do.

But that would be a boring answer. I actually imagined cutting off that piece of the card.

I could have, but on the chance it was a sincere question, was just being polite and telling him why it wouldn't work.

Oh, and it's not just a DS with a fancy screen. It's a DS with a fancy screen, graphical power above PSP-level, gyromatics, movie playback and an analogue stick.

No.

I said no, so now this topic is over.

No BECAUSE the 3DS isn't just another DS. It has power that far eclipses the DS, pushing visuals near Wii and Xbox level. The DS is firmly rooted in the N64 era. Even if it didn't have the 3D effects of the screen, the 3DS would still be worth getting. It has an analog nub now, and the top screen is widescreen. There are all kinds of wifi enhancements too. There are probably even more features we don't know yet.
NEVER judge a game you have not played.

Which leads to another question. Will the 3DS have a DS slot ?
