WAP or WEP ?

That will determine if this remains a portable system. Right now, there isn't a public place where my DS can connect to public WIFi.

Because everything is WAP now. So what will the 3DS be ?

I hope its compatible with WAP. That is the reason I never play my DS online because the security support is limited to WEP and open.

Wireless Application Protocol. It's a wireless signal type. More secure than WEP.

*facepalm*

You're right...

Switch around the letters and replace my acronym definition with Wi-Fi Protected Access.

The DSi does. However, any NWC game released before it is still limited to WEP for online play. I don't know about games released after.
