Like with GBC, there were black carts that worked on GB, but were in full color and had extra functions on GBC.

How logical would this be, in your opinion?

That would give reason for casual gamers to believe even MORE that its just a redesign.

It depends on how much Nintendo wants to continue support of the DS. It might be a smart decision, since if games were released for the DS that has 3DS enhancements, it might persuade people who have built up a collection of DS-compatible 3DS games to make the switch, since they'll already have a 3DS library.

Like the 3DS magically makes it 3D or something?

Like how the black carts let the GB games come in color when on a GBC or GBA.

Only every game is like this.

No it wouldn't, it would make the 3DS flop. Think about the casuals who don't REALLY care about 3D that much.

HOWEVER, if the new professor layton or nintendogs ONLY WORKS on the 3DS....

TC, are you saying that they should make games for the DS that can also use the 3DS capabilities? I could see this happening only with games with lesser extent on the graphics. There is a huge difference in power so I think it's unlikely otherwise.
No one agrees with you. This is GameFAQs. Even if people really do agree with you, they still don't. - Thunder_Armor

It was the same way between the GB and GBC. Didn't the Color have 4 times the memory?
