Watch Nintendo flop again this generation when it comes to Online.

3DS is a HUGE step up from DS, but I have a feeling that online won't be as big a step up.

So you cover up 3DS's one possible flaw with 'hurr noone cares'?

Well... nobody does so...

Portable games by their very nature are designed to have singleplayer as their main element and will very rarely be classed as competitive.

Yeah I know there are some good exceptions to this rule (MPH, MKDS) but the majority of the DS (and in fact, other portable) libraries is comprised entirely of strong singleplayer games, if it has multiplayer it's usually thrown in.

i know most of you people here are gonna cry troll and stuff, but TC has a point. i REALLY hope they overhaul their online system for the 3DS. nintendo wifi connection is so lack luster. no universal friends list, no patches, no true DLC...i understand kinda when it comes to the DS, but especially for the wii, it was just weak.

watch alot of people care. especially considering the year. if they bring back friend codes then that would be terrible. being the newest system on the market, theres not much excuse for it not to have a much better online experience.

I agree. Some better online for games like Pokemon and such would be better, but it's not the end of the world. I want good plot, good controls, good graphics, and good gameplay over online ANYDAY.

Really? Ad Hoc Party seems quite popular with the PS3, and being able to play from any WiFi hotspot would be rather convenient.

And personally, I just want to have a good time playing with people. That's a lot easier with online.
