So, if the touch screen is NOT in 3d...

Then what's going to happen to our touch screen focused games like phantom hourglass, canvas curse, dragon sword, advance wars/fire emblem? 3D menus? Ya nintendo...missed opportunity.

and not to mention the games that transition from top screen to bottom screen like sonic rush, thats going to be weird.

I'm sure they'll figure something out.

Well, at least for Zelda, there won't be a need for the touchscreen as there was before because of the analogue control stick.

I predict that Fire Emblem and Advance Wars will have all battles play out on the top screen, if not have all the action up there.

Canvas Curse et al, I guess, will be replaced by a new series of games that make use of 3D over touch.

You realize those games wont be in 3D anyway right? it's not going to magically make old games turn into 3D games.

They can still make 2d games if they really want the touch screen capability. Smudges destroy the 3d effect so a 3d touch screen isn't very practical.

This is the best thing about the 3ds. No more awkward garbage like Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.

My god yes. The sole reason I hated those games was because your hand was covering up the ****ing screen.
3DS is going to be the best portable ever and hopefully one of the best consoles ever.

I'd say the difference in screen resolution acts as a bigger barrier to using the two screens as one, more than anything. And I think this was purposeful, to get developers to try and think of ways to treat them as two screens instead of just one.

I'd say the lack of 3D on the bottom screen is from the difficulty of trying to touch something that appears to be popping out at you, though.

And plus, wouldn't the different angles of two 3D enabled screens affect your ability to "sweet spot" the screen so you can actually view the 3D?
