Eighth generation era.

I went to Wikipedia, and noticed that Kinect had been labeled a seventh generation era product. I went to the 3DS's page, and lo and behold, the generation label is ABSENT! I guess people can't decide whether this system will be the start of an eighth generation or not.

That's because there still exists people that think it's another redesign.

Apparently tons of added power and a bigger resolution, and a truckload of exclusives doesn't justify as being next-gen anymore.

I thought Kinect was just an extension of the 360... That would make it a Seventh Generation gaming device.

I think the bigger issue here is that some people discredit handhelds and don't like the idea of a handheld leading the next gen. Got sad news for them, cause this is the beginning of 8th gen whether they like it or not.
