Which 3DS titles should be available at launch?

And by which, I mean how many. I'm really liking the list so far, but I'm thinking that Kid Icarus, Nintendogs + cats, MGS 3D, and RE:R will be launch titles, for sure. With that being said, I'm sure there will be only 2 more Nintendo games released for launch one being of the remakes (OoT 3D or SF64 3D), the other being a new game (Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario). I imagine that OoT 3D and Mario Kart would be launched, as OoT 3D will be a remake like SM64DS was, and Mario Kart is an amazing multiplayer experience that isn't hard to get into.

Just my opinion. Thoughts?

Honestly I can't decide, but if they can manage even half of what they've announced at launch it'll be one of the best launch lineups I've ever seen, on any platform, in 20+ years of gaming.

Nintendo wouldn't do that. It would be madness if they released too many games too soon, because although it might possibly be before the holidays, too many good games result in mediocre sales for all of them before the holidays. If they released 5 of their first-party games, that will be something brilliant, yet I couldn't just get them all. Unless...one of those games comes as a freebie, like OoT 3D or something. Then Nintendo could release one more game of theirs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Madden and Fifa were launch titles

I'd love to see Kid Icarus be a launch title as it's almost the perfect showcase for the system's 3D capabilities. While Metal Gear Solid looked amazing on the 3D screen, not other game had the visual flash of Kid Icarus.

Well, I really wouldn't be surprised if Kid Icarus was the only launch title from Nintendo as first-party. Zelda was technically the only one for Wii. With that being said, not too many young ones know Kid Icarus existed unless they looked it up or played Brawl before. So...since Kid Icarus wouldn't be too known with the entire audience it wouldn't be surprising if they released one of the new games and of the remade games.

Hmmm... I'm going to guess: Kid Icarus, Nintendogs + cats, MGS 3D, RE, and Mario Kart.

TC, don't you DARE compare OoT 3D to Super Mario 64 DS. Why? SM64DS was only good for multiplayer. They DESTROYED the single player. It didn't play like, feel like, or have a story even resembling the original, which is my favorite Nintendo game ever, and second only to BioShock and BlazBlue for me now.

I'm guessing there will be 10-12 games at launch, maybe less.

A lot of the games that were revealed (if we're going by the big list Nintendo posted online) don't even have any screens available yet, so I'm assuming they'll be out at least a year or more from now. Unfortunately, the big 3DS game I'm looking forward to is in that set, BloodRayne: The Shroud. Just a name on a list for the moment with no visual proof it exists.
