I'm not gonna buy the 3DS

I'm gonna wait a year for the inevitable "Better version of the 3DS that has features that should have been there originally" 3DS

and then all the games will be cheaper! :D

I may do this as well, and I DEFINITELY will if it's one cent over $249.99 USD.

While your logic makes sense, your jump into online competition would be hell. Everyone would've hacked the games you want to be cheaper, making them less enjoyable online and making you look like you're new. (even though you are, but...at least if you bought it early everyone would be new with you.)

If you're not that much into online competition then it's a good idea to wait for later and better versions of the 3DS, simply because the DS will definitely have some more years on it. The new Pokemon games have to last for a while since they're for the DS. Unless the 3DS is released around Q2 2011 or later, because then you might have to stick to the Wii for a bit longer. That's not too bad, though, right?

I agree, wait for the 3DS Lite. Thats going to be the one to get.
They will come out with a slimmer brighter version, possibly bigger screens too.

There's not going to be a 3DS lite. You can't make it lighter. They won't make it brighter.

There may never be a change in the system (Nintendo home consoles don't change). If there is it may have more storage, slightly longer battery life (say 1 or 2 hours), and maybe bigger screens (which is harder to do without losing the 3D effect).

Any changes are certainly not worth waiting about for if you can get the system early.

Above is copied and pasted from another topic I posted this in. Slightly edited with one more bracketed line.

I would seriously, seriously doubt that the first 3DS released will be the only version. They get a lot of bad rep for doing it, but time and time again it makes them money.
