If you can get 2GB (basically)SD cards, then why on earth would you use a 1.8GB UMD

Besides that, there's no load times with a cartridge. Also, no moving parts.

Because discs is pretty much the worst idea ever for portables.

Give me 2 reasons to use discs.

So far, this has a launch storage amount of 2GB, more than the PSP's UMD, and will probably follow the same trend as the DS's cartridges, and even double, triple, or quadruple in size.

Little-to-no loading times.

All around cooler, less breakable.

Why use discs?

You can also save on a cartridge without a memory card. :D

*Saves on carts' eeproms or flash memory.
*No moving parts.
*Solid state has a high rate of data transfer.
*Less heat.

With the size of the game cards, they need to make a huge NES collection for the 3DS. If they leave the games in their original form, I'm sure they could fit a ton of NES games on a single 3DS card. Plus I'm sure they will at least double the card capacity in the future, so maybe they should release one giant NES collection.
