New Chrono Game?

I am hoping that they make a new Chrono game for this system. Does anyone know why they have not made a new Chrono game yet? Is it a legal issue or is there no interest in making a new chrono game? They could explain what happened between Chrono trigger and Chrono cross.

They tell you in CC how the two games are related. Basically, you screwed up pretty hardcore during the key Zeal portion in CT.

If they made a new Chrono Game, I'd rather it be a direct sequel to Chrono Trigger or a "new timeline".

They could port Chrono cross to the 3DS if they wanted too...

They haven't made a new Chrono game yet because currently they can't get the original team all back together to make it.

For a sequel I'd prefer they just say "giant space parasite that feeds on planets" (Lavos) is a species and avoid the need to be a direct continuation of Trigger.

What happened between Chrono Trigger andChrono Cross is that Square developed a Final Fantasy game that sucked really, really bad. So bad that they decided not to use the Final Fantasy name on it anymore and instead re-released Chrono Trigger on the PS1 with an extra scene in the ending to convince people that it was connected to this new game.

actually the sequel to Chrono Trigger is Radical Dreamers, not Chrono Cross. Chrono Cross is CT3, basically. If you don't understand what is going on in CC, you should play Radical Dreamers, as it explains some stuff. Unfortunately, it's only in Japanese legally but I heard a rumor that there was a translation somewhere. If you know what I mean.
Q: How can you tell when I'm trolling?
A: I've made a post.
