Doesnt this feel like an upgrade...

... like when Genesis got Sega CD as an add-on and the Saturn got a 3D controller?
I bet I´ll be hearing from a lot of people "this is the new DS system", when they see it, but I guess info tells us otherwise.
Anyway, I still think the new features dont make it completely new, in regards to control options: there isnt a second analog stick, which could be solved by addressing the camera control function to the 4 face buttons; this would require at least 2 extra buttons for actions (just like he N64 controller); with this button layout, the console could be flippable, making the face buttons a new D-pad, while the analog stick would serve as camera control; no touch screen, off course...

Maybe in their next handheld. Or Sony´s...

ITT: It's not new unless it has at least two analog sticks.

Definitelty "and." It isn't a matter of an opinion whether this is an upgrade. Does it have new features? Yes. Does it have a new chipset? Yes. Improved visuals? Yes. Does it plays games its predecessor won't? Yes.

I don't see anything that leads people to believe it's an upgrade.

Obviously TC doesn't realize this thing is a 3D handheld without the need for glasses with the ability to have outstanding graphics. Or we all just got trolled on

3DS is going to be the best portable ever and hopefully one of the best consoles ever.

I know of that upgrade, but does it really help with how we play? Do we actually rotate the view with 3D, or feel immersed by it (yes)? The only upgrade that may change how we control things is the slide pad and I tried to show in my first post that it may not be enough without a second one. But then, the XBOX360 and PS3 didnt have as many new features...

Exactly. Did the PS3 or XBox 360 dramatically change the way you play your games?

They came with new form factors. The DS has been relatively unchanged.
