The problem with glasses-free 3D...

God your right! -_-

I want the droid.
Anyways, so what if they get 3d? If this 3d mess is really that great, why not have it for all the systems (I sooooo want shadow of the colossus in 3d)

So...? Nintendo based a system around motion sensing.
X-Box kinect and Playstation move anyone?

And a lot of phones have motion sensing as well(Though I have no idea if that was before or after the wii)

LOL TC fails, Apple cannot make a 3D iPhone without getting rid of the touch screen it already has.

Because technology never advances. Of course not.

In order for the glasses-free 3D to work, it needs a clear screen, you would need to basically keep cleaning all the smudges and marks that you give it.
I do believe that constantly touching it will ruin the 3D effect as well because it interrupts whatever you are viewing.

For future technology, I'd imagine that would only possible when it proceeds to holograms.

Would be weird to touch the screen that is displaying 3D images. Seems like it would ruin the effect. Now when we get to the point of 3D effects we can touch that will be different lol

Well that's only possible with holograms, and we're centuries away from that.

I have seen the 3DS in person, and if you hold it on the right angle, it truly looks like holograms. It's so natural, viewing angles aren't that much of a problem with personal devices.

I am worried that developing for the 3d aspect would be a major hindrance, but it is optional. The Kid Icarus trailer I saw freaked me out, if they could make the game-play work on the same level of the visuals, we have a revolution in technology on our hands. I'm so excited.

We already have holograms.
You just can't touch it.

I'd say in 5 years, we will have something of that sort for public, or at least a better and more practical one.

The Heliodisplay, it has touch capability, and is a 2D hologram projector.

Would the 3DS be too classy to take to the toilet?

Pretty cool, but the 2D kind of defeats the purpose of everything other than being a toy.
