3DS Specs Plus More

Weight
Nintendo 3DS: 230 grams, or 8.1 oz.

Nintendo DS Lite: 218 grams, or 7.7 oz.

What Does It Mean? The Nintendo 3DS is slightly heavier than the Nintendo DS Lite--6% heavier, to be exact. You'll notice a bit more weight in your purse or backpack, but you won't throw your back when you carry around your 3DS.

Dimensions
Nintendo 3DS: 130 x 74 x 20 millimeters, or 5.1 x 2.9 x 0.79 inches.

Nintendo DS Lite: 133 x 73.9 x 21.87 millimeters, or 5.2 x 2.91 x 0.861 inches.

What Does It Mean? Even though the Nintendo 3DS is a bit heavier than the Nintendo DS Lite, it's also about 10% smaller than its predecessor. It's compact, but not quite pocket-sized. Unless you're wearing roomy pants.

You can turn off the HUD in Zelda with the controller on-screen
- Nintendo looking to match battery life of the DSi
- Regarding orchestrated music in Zelda for Wii, the number of staff working at Nintendo has increased to write more songs
- Pikmin 3 not brought to E3 since Miyamoto didn’t want it to be a distraction for other games
- “Rest assured, though, we are very hard at work on Pikmin.”
- Developers want Skyward Sword to have streamlined combat, which is why you can drink a potion and move at the same time
- Same person who worked on the whip in Spirit Tracks is working on it for Skyward Sword
- The game will, of course, involve puzzles and exploring as well as combat (because of this, he doesn’t seem to think players getting tired will be an issue)

We'll probably still get some message from the companion from Skyward Sword saying "Link! Take a break so you can save your strength!" Sounds like a Navi thing.

Other than that, I never have a problem with any of the system's sizes except for the obvious DSi XL. I don't even own one and because of its bulk I never will.

Ah, so it's actually slightly smaller than the Lite? Perfect.

I want this thing bad. I'm hoping for a 2010 holiday season release date.
