What is this blasphemous source of black magic!?

TC's right, Nintendo has resorted to Black Magic in order to pump out more innovation into the gaming world.

Besides the aformentioned self-curing cancer, what will be the side effects for end users, though?
Spontaneous limb-loss?
Strange, talking growths upon our flesh?
Or will it just kind of work like a Cursed item in Dragon Warrior, where once you've equipped the 3DS, you can't remove it unless you visit the old man whose only purpose is to remove Cursed items?

This, and the old man in this case is Nintendo themselves. It's quite a profitable business model. They sell you the cursed console and then charge you a fee to have it unequipped every time you finish using it.

This, but the only way to remove it is to buy one of the thousands of useless peripherals Nintendo will inevitably produce.
