oh yea
i was thinking more along the lines of being able to connect in places without having to set up the wifi tho
i think it would be easier than having to register it all the time and switch it when u go to different wifi spots

The DSi can already do that..

You set up the connection once, so when you go back to the location, it automatically reconnects to that access..

And having 6 total wireless slots is pretty useful

Nintendo made it sound like this was already implemented when they were talking about Tag Mode and various wireless stuff.

I'm confused as to what you're referring to by built-in Wi-Fi.
