XBL type experience allowing for easy online gameplay
App store type thing in which you can not only purchase apps but also purchase some iPhone type games

This is just my opinion obviously but in either case the 3DS is pretty much no doubt gonna be the new system for "hardcore" games minus FPS/TPS but it's not like that genre has a lot of potential atm with every new one being a clone of previous ones. But you add in those 2 features and I just don't see how anything can compete with it.

Exclude the use of mics on public online and people getting better internet, for hosting and stuff, then you're golden.

Too much effort to mute all the little kids that would either not shut up or try to talk **** and cuss at me. Just give private lobbies.

Just like Xbox needs for all games. Goddamn MW2.

It's certainly capable of those things.

Considering there's an SD card slot, I think a 3ds "app store" is very likely.

What needs to be done is (and I don't know why the companies don't do this already) is have everyone in the game muted from the start. If you want to talk to someone, un mute them. Maybe include an option at the start of every game in the lobby to unmute everyone in the game to save some time for those that like to talk to everyone in the game.

imagine if you could take pictures of people IRL and on the 3DS screens it'd show you taking a picture of a pokemon
take a picture of rosie o'donnell and it'd show snorlax in game
