I really want a 3DS, but damn... local multiplayer on a single screen with like 4 players, and everyone gets to see a full screen for themselves, along with it being 3D without glasses. I didn't even consider the possibility of such a thing being possible.

So what are your thoughts about it?

Yeah, I know. But it's still really impressive technology. I was thinking about how they were gonna do glassesless 3D on something other than a handheld system and this seems like a great solution.

3d effect for multiple people? Check
No glasses? Check
Watch different things on the same screen? Huge bonus

Smells like the future to me.

I can see a flaw with this technology:

Although it is very impressive, imagine the amount of power 4 different light sources would take, both with twice the light sources as normal. Now imagine the kind of processing power something like Halo takes and multiply it by 8. The heat generation and power consumption of such a thing would be MASSIVE. Secondly, if you want to talk glasses-less 3D, That is only feasible on a handheld, because of viewing angles and such. when it is ON a handheld, it is useless, because you do not have the control method for multiple people, not to mention the processing power required and heat generation and battery consumption that takes place. Basically, Microsoft have pioneered a worthless piece of crap.

How would sound work? It wouldn't, everyone would need a headset.

Could care less = you do care, at least a little.

It could just use the same sound while playing games with it like today, but watching tv with it does pose a problem.
