For me, personally, when I buy electronics that come in multiple colors, I typically go for the plain ones. I don't like owning "colorful" devices, as it makes them look a little too much like toys, or at the very least, a little gaudy. I usually go for black, if it's available, as it looks the sleekest, to me.
