How does the 3DS effect your health?

Is it any more harmful to your sight considering its in 3D? Are there any dangers of using the 3DS specifically too much, compared to the regular DS? is the 3DS made with the same materials that they use to make the 3D tv?

To the general user, looking at a 3DS screen will be no more harmful than looking at a typical DS screen. They both involve colourful displays that you look at with your eyes.

To the media, the 3DS will GIVE YOU CANCER, HEADACHES, SIGNS OF SICKNESS and MAKE YOU PERMANANTLY CROSS-EYED.

the 3DS is designed by Nintendo to make everyone sick, so the we are forced to buy the 3DS-Lite if we want the cure. Clever marketing guaranteeing double sales!

Apparently 3D imaging can harm small children if their eyes are still developing, but that's about all the damage a screen is going to do to anyone's eyes.

The screen may strain your eyes during long play sessions, but strain and damage are two different things.

There is a slider with which you can turn on and off the 3D effect, as well as the intensity of the 3D effect.

The 3D effect is natural to your eyes, similar to real life. In real life each eye see's a slightly modified version of an image, and your brain aligns them together to give you depth. A similar thing is happening with this screen, each eye sees a different image, making it a bit more natural then the DS. So if anything, if should be as safe as looking at a TV or DS screen, if not safer.
