They never said they were the first to invent stereoscopic displays. They are just the first to utilize it massively in a product.


First, there have been cellphones with this type of display in japan for a while. And Sharp themselves have been selling 3D computer monitors using this tech since 2004.

Second, it's not about claiming anything, it's about paying people money that they are entitled to by law as patent holder. Sometimes tech is stolen. These laws are there to make sure inventors don't get ripped off.

I never said that Nintendo stated that they invented autostereoscopic, however TC's topic title suggests that he thinks they did.

and I predict one of them likely will be from Texas, not that I had anything against Texas and all, just that that's where almost 95% of those patent troll companies are.
