I really think it would be a good idea to try out online distribution with this

They don't even have to add built-in space in it, they could just add a SD card slot for people who wanted to store things. Then nintendo could sell downloadable 3DS games...

IDK. On my PSP I kind of enjoy the fact that I can choose between downloading a game or buying a physical copy.

PSP GO was a failure, i don't see a need for Nintendo to go the same route.

Download full 3DS games? Sounds a little too easy to turn that into pirating, IMO. I could very well be wrong, but why would Ninty want to risk that? And unless Nintendo really turns around their online, downloads could take FOREVER. Other than those, it would be nice to have less carts. :D

The way it works with the PSN is you have to be logged into your PSN account to play the downloaded games. You don't need to be connected to the internet, but until you log off of PSN on that system, you can't play the game you downloaded on any others.

Yes, download-only is a pretty weak form of media for a handheld, but I'm not talking about the go. I'm talking about the 1000-3000 models which allow for both. I've never had any problems downloading a game from PSN, aside from the fact that the price can be higher than the UMD sometimes.

Digital Distribution sucks. I'll take a hard copy any day. The only thing DD is good for are the occasional PSN game (a game too small to be released on a disc) or old games from other systems. Why buy Infamous online for 30 bucks when you can pick up the disc for the same amount or LESS and you get to skip the download time and you get a tangible game. The only real plus I can think of with DD is that you don't have to swap discs/carts which would be nice but I'm not that lazy.
