Do you think the batteries will be rechargeable?

I've never owned a DS, so I don't know how it works there. Still, I would think in this day and age, most portable electronic devices should try and run on rechargeable batteries.

Or maybe I've got this all wrong. Maybe it all depends on the batteries themselves, and whether or not you have a charger for them. To be honest, I don't really know, since I haven't really worked with rechargeable devices before (other than a cellphone, a cordless phone, and a flashlight).

Yes.
Since the GBA SP, all Nintendo handhelds have used Lithium batteries.

Don't mean to sound like a jerk, but get with the times. >_>
It's been like 7-8 years since rechargeable lithium ion batteries are on pretty much all electronic devices.

I hated those things. They left a glare and got in the way. But I do miss those days.

At least with the gameboy pocket the monochrome screen was so reflective it was easy to see in fairly poor light. The gameboy color was straight up unreasonable though! That screen was DARK!
