What's RE: The Mercenaries 3D like? (gameplay related)

Is there a story mode you play throughout the game, or is it a mini-game to hold over fans until the next RE comes out? I'm thinking of either buying this game, or a 360 game.

It's all arcade, no storymode.

It's kindah like you're playing a FPS online but all your friends have succumb to the zombie virus.. It's a little lame that there's another unending 3DS title.. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty fun (In co-op mode), it looks great, Sadly controls are a bit uncomfortable.. But no story mode?

Aww, that's slightly disappointing to hear. I may just end up buying Reach until Revelations comes out.

no story, it's a timed level, arcade style, go for the high score shooter with some unlockables

see video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY-TvUKeRMM

it's a great game if you like that style gameplay.

This game is perfect in short bursts.

This game is awesome with a friend, or online (supposing you get it to work). I think the controls are pretty good overall, but I do wish your character was a tad bit more responsive.

As noted above, it's devoid of storyline and nearly so of instructions. It is still very enjoyable, especially in short bursts, but if you had to get a game I would opt for a 360 game.
Please do not feed the trolls, mark & move on. Likely posted from my 3DS.
