Software sales thus far?

Just wondering if anyone has any semi-up-to-date figures.

My guesses:
Nintendogs combined - 1.3m
OoT 3D - 800K
SSF3D - 1m
Dead of Alive - 300K

These are just some of my guesses, if you don't know just guess

If you wish to fail and succeed at it, what have you done?
Civilization IV is the most addicting game ever.

Why not use inaccurate vgchartz.

VGChartz just makes up numbers.

vgsales.wikia.com at least uses references from NPD, Media-Create, financial reports, etc.

EDIT: If you're really curious though, Nintendo will release its first quarter (April-May-June) earnings report on July 28. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/index.html

EDIT2: Nintendogs+cats is already a million seller, if you combine all three versions. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2011/110426e.pdf

why does this matter to any of you?

A gamer should want as many games as possible, from as many different genres as possible,on as many different systems as possible, for as many people as possible

Agreed

Personally I like seeing how many copies a game sells. It also matters to me personally because if a game I like doesn't sell well, then games of that series, or even games of that genre are less likely to make their way to my region, or even be made in the first place.

Youd be suprised how many other factors there are

There are many others, but I'm assuming profit is the biggest factor to a business.

maybe in terms of the initial making of a sequel but localizing is a license and time game
