I recently noticed that every time I move my 3DS upside down (or shake it). I hear a clinking sound inside, I imagine it's something inside that's loose. I don't think it's something I should be worried about but what is it?

What's the difference between the original and the localized version?
Original usually means Japanese and localized usually means North American.

The sound you're hearing is the pedometer. It's used to count steps. Completely normal and you shouldn't be worried at all.

Yes, many people use that to get the coins for the day, but really unless you're constantly changing the system date for infinite coins you should easily reach the limit in a short time of normal walking.

Thank you. I heard a sound in the system as well, and that explains it.

My 3DS has several loose parts to it, which don't really worry me as long as I know why they're clinking. Biggest offenders are the stylus (It seems meant to be a loose fit, so the slot doesn't wear out), the IR port thing, and the 3D slider nub.

I did that alot to complete Find Mii and the 3 puzzle panels I have(NSMBW, Zelda, Metroid).

There are several things that click in the 3DS when shaken, but vary between individual 3DS units.
These include:
-The 3D slider
-The buttons and + control pad
-The stylus in its holder
-The 3D screen cover
