I mean, if you're going to remind me every single time that I press the power button that this system can do so much more stuff while in sleep mode, then why can't you let me put my 3DS to sleep with an alarm function on? I use my XL for that every day of my life; it's my primary alarm in the morning. Only when I decided to take a trip and leave my XL at home did I realize that the 3DS didn't support such a function. Well, looks like I'll continue to neglect you, oh poor 3DS. RIP until Megaman Legends 3 Prototype comes out, 3DS.

As a quick question, would an alarm function stop the street pass functions? I mean, unless someone's going to park outside of my house between the hours of Midnight and 8:00 AM and just happen to have a 3DS on in sleep mode, I highly doubt the street pass would matter at that time of day. >_>

WELL the 3ds isn't very loud, and if you couple that with it also being closed, you have a noise so quiet you probably could sleep through it. Im not saying it should not be an option but nobody would rely on it.

Oh, haha, good idea. My XL came with a free clock app, and now that you mention it, there is an alarm on that, possibly the same tone as the original alarm. I'll have to transfer that later. DSi XL ftw again.

At max volume, it's loud enough even when shut. I know, because I have the mario clock. It really is funny to see what stupid things people complain about.

I used my DS lite alarm clock once. It was a life saver. Handy as a last resort. Didn't realise 3DS didn't have it too.

yes, yes it is... I use my phone for my alarm but I don't even know where I would go to find an alarm clock... They most likely have them at Walmart, but I wouldn't know where to look lol

Free apps can't transfer. I got the DSi that came with 5 Mario (-ish) games (sort of), and they are all permanently stuck there. That includes the Mario clock.
