A notification message should have been received by your 3DS (SpotPass) and a gift box icon for the nintendo video channel should be on your main menu.

You must download the software by running the application first. (or via eShop)

It's lame. Functions just like the SpotPass TV, and the videos are not really better. I have no idea why they didn't just combine these two video services into one.

Probably a stupid question, but I'll ask anyway since my Japanese is horrible. How do you get the videos to download to the video channel and Spotpass TV? I would assume that I have one of the options wrong and set to something like "don't send me any videos".

Itsu no ma ni terebi is a joint effort between nintendo, fuji tv and nippon terebi.

As for the videos, there are 2-3 I don't mind from SpotPass TV, but with the NV app, the Kyoto tour is quite interesting because its near my own place.

Try this: (for NV)

Under settings: Make sure that itsunomani tsuushin is set to: Automatic

You may have to manually check for video updates the first time (main screen of app, bottom left ucon thats tsuushin check)

Should be similar thing for SpotpassTV

Yes I know that. But they could easily have combined those 2 apps into 1 and created different sections for different providers.

I mean, both of those apps serve the same purpose and do essentially the same thing.

At least in Japan you have the option of using it or deleting it, In NA we get nothing.

Nothing.

Yep, I just checked and it is set to automatic. And when I go to check for videos it says this.
