They should have a biggest game failure awards thing.

MGS3DS would deserve the top spot in the first one.

- Here we have MGS3 for the PS2. Has great graphics for PS2.
- Kojima slaps together an MGS3DS tech demo in a matter of weeks and the graphics look much better.
- About a year later, the game looks worse than the PS2 version and runs like crap.

...man, the team making it must fail so damn much to accomplish something that's nearly impossible to accomplish.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

3DS screens are often a poor indicator of what the game looks like in motion. Good idea to wait and see.

I'm trying to be optimistic about it; I mean the framerate of the Ocarina of Time trailer on the eShop had the original's framerate, and look how that turned out. I never played MGS3, and it may not have had the same framerate issues as the trailer (again, on the eShop so that's a pretty accurate measure of how it'll look), but I really hope they at least get that ironed out. It looks acceptable on the 3DS if you don't compare it to E3 2010.

Which is damn hard to do, admittedly.

Well, I'm going from the impressions of people that played it at E3. According to them, the game looks significantly worse than it did at E3 last year, and runs that much worse as well. And yes, I am gonna compare it to that trailer. Kojima was like: "Oh, that was easy we threw it together in just a few weeks!" At the very least, you'd expect an improvement after a year of development time.

Was the 2010 demo playable, or video only?

d0wner, It was a video demo with a fully controllable camera, so you know it was being rendered in real-time.

TC, yeah. A bit of Molyneux may be rubbing off on Kojima now. I wonder what he'll do for Vita, given that he also put that 20FPS video in "a few weeks".
