Although I'm not a big fan of buying games I already have another version of, I just might pick that up if they make it...

My heart would have an orgasm if they made Super Metroid for 3DS.

I simply cannot overstate the awesome feeling I'd get...

i'm happy if they release ANY side scrolling Metroid games on here.

Metroid II was exclusive to Game Boy and that would be great on the shop!

Dam straight! Super Metroid is the best game on the SNES...forget Chrono Trigger, Mario RPG, Link to the Past, etc.

I would love to forget those games, so I could play them again as if for the first time.

I would die again if this were to ever happen.

I don't understand this logic at all really. You really don't buy games (ports) just because you own a version you bought 15+ years ago? It's a major pain to drag out older systems just to play a single game. I'd much rather enjoy my favorite titles on the most current platform for the sake of convenience and space saving. This is why I'm pro BC for consoles. The pc has been BC for it's entire existence (even through emulation as formats have passed such as Floppy). I dont see why consoles can't follow the same direction.

If you bought the game a LONG time ago you have spread that investment so thin that it's smaller than an atom by now. Jus pick up the ports because chances are they are improved in some respects and for reasons I mentioned before.
