Man I want a 3DS now but I know there is no point to buy one now!

I really want to get one because of Netflix, the remakes, and all the GB games, but I know if I buy one now Nintendo is just gonna do what they always do.

Me: YEAH I JUST GOT THEIR COOL NEW GAMING DEVICE!

Nintendo: hey we just made it better fixed all the horrible features of it! Coming soon

Me: #@%#$ @%@#$%#$^ (make up whatever cuss words you want and insert them there)

So yeah I just hate how they are finally making the 3DS with everything they promised us for the normal DS. I would just get one one but I rather my DSI XL it fits my hands perfectly and I like the bigger screen. I really hope Nintendo makes a XL of the 3DS and puts the stylus back on the side and fixes the battery life. If they actually did all that, I would buy one, or even if they fixed those few things and lower the price.

Redesigns of hardware are very common in the industry. Nintendo's not the only one that does it.

I guess you don't understand how technology works. Good luck with your life of never ever buying anything again.

Pretty much this ^

You do realize that just because a different model comes out doesn't make yours obsolete.

2 years is kinda stretching it since the DS was released in Nov of 2004, and the DS lite was released in June 2006. More like 1.5 years. So this means the 3DS remodel will be out Fall 2012. (though realistically, it'll be out Winter that year.)

But then again, the 3DS doesn't have as many of the flaws of the original DS. So when a revision does come out it'll most likely only have improved battery life, better screens (multi-angle 3D screens anyone?) and that's about it.

Will most likely be larger as well, since getting a better battery cheaper means larger size. Unless of course Nintendo makes a breakthrough and finds a better way to make a cheap better battery, or costs go down. Which means we shall probably get bigger screens as well.
