Mega Man looks to be officially dead.

According to Niitsuma, the disastrous events that occurred in Japan not long after the release of MvC3 "threw off our whole development schedule." Eventually, a decision was made to release that content on a disc, along with tweaks to the gameplay, a new spectator mode, and other new playable content,

And then there is:

"Iím sorry, there is no Mega Man in Ultimate," Niitsuma apologized. "We had a lot of requests from fans for Mega Man or at least one of them to be in the game. Out of all of the requests we got for Capcom characters, he just didnít enter the top part of the ranking. Unfortunately, he didnít make the cut."

Capcom is so full of **** lately.

LMAO MM didn't make the top part of the ranking yet they apologise to the fans of MM? ROFL.

They can't stop making up bull ****. How sad. Like when they said all Megamen didn't have enough potential moves for a fighting game... Yet PW is in UMvC3.

:F

Also that link of mistakes has forgotten a few like Dark Stalkers.

So now they are just resorting to lying? Megaman was in the top five of the most requested characters in a number of polls for both America and Japan. Much higher than Rocky Raccoon, Nova, or Firebrand, that's for damn sure.

They've been doing that for awhile.

I might faintly understand their tactic if they tried to weasel themselves out of it by saying that no single incarnation of Mega Man made it, but wasn't Mega Man X the most requested?

I live in japan and them using the eathquake is an all time low. There is no capcom buildings over there so how did that effect them if they are in the south like Nintendo.

Nintendo never stopped production on anything so why would capcom. Also they where unaffected by the rolling backouts like the rest of us and was at full energy capacity.

Easily one of the worst excuses of 2011 so far. all that resident evil and strider BS is just funny.

Yeah, I'm sure Firebrand outranked Mega Man.
