Hackers don't generally target handheld systems, since the amount of valuable information they could get is significantly lower than that of a computer.

The chance of you getting a virus on a legal 3DS anyway would be non-existent.

Well then, stop looking at porn.

Seriously though, several reasons as to why your 3DS will most likely not get a virus. Firstly, in order for a virus to target a 3DS, it has to be written for a 3DS. The reason there are less viruses for Mac's, Linux machines, and various portable devices, is that not as many people write those viruses.
The second reason is that the only thing that the browser downloads at this point, are pictures. The viruses would have to be embedded inside the image. Even still, it's highly unlikely that you'd get your 3DS virused.

So in short, no. No they will not release an internet security suite for the 3DS. It's just silly.

I'm glad your one of the smart people that sees through Mac's silly little "OH WE'VE PROGRAMMED OUR OS SO IT NEVER GETS VIRUSES!" thing and realize it's because most virus programmers don't have an interest in stealing only 5% of total computers information.

Any somewhat educated internet goer knows that nothing is unhackable. The Mac users that say that piss me off, because it makes the rest of us users look just as uneducated as them...

There are big consequences, and little chance of profiting from a virus aimed at infecting the 3DS. I'm not even sure how a virus could be utilized on a 3DS sine the OS does so little in comparison to a PC.

All they would need is to make a background keylogger for the 3DS and theoretically they could steal your information. But, it'd have to embed itself in the eShop to pull off, which I'm sure is encrypted and write-protected like crazy.

But once the encryption keys are found and released, it'll become that much easier to make. Not that I think it ever will.
