Same thing happened with the Xbox. Will people go and buy 3DS now?

MS reduced the price in europe from 299 to 199 in the space of about a few months. MS gave launch owners 2 free games and a controller that valued around 100. Nintendo are giving out 20 games worth about 100+ if you assume GBA games will be 7-8(GBC games are 5.60) and the already existing VC games that are 3-5. We don't even know what the price is being reduced to in UK yet, the fact that 3DS is already 199 or 189 in places suggests the price drop will be about 50-60 quid. So Nintendo offerring more really.

The problem with Nintendo's deal is that it takes ages for you to recieve it while MS's was basically choose between Halo and these other games. Free controller was neat though.

The only problem i have is Nintendo lying out of their ass. They don't have plans to release GBA games on VC? what a load of bull, thi time next year all these games will be on the E-shop.

My question is will people go out and buy a 3DS now at full price to get these rewards?

This same mistake over and over is giving me a headache...

Nintendo never said they would never sell any GBA games on the VC. They said the 10 ambassador GBA games would probably not see release to non-ambassadors

I got my 3DS + OoT from Amazon for 180 two weeks ago, so I basically paid 150 for a brand new 3DS. If the price goes down to 140 or even 130, I won't feel ripped off at all.
It's like I paid 10-20 for 20 games :D

If people find good deals, and the price doesn't go down too much, I believe people will still buy a 3DS before the price drop (well, at least in the UK).

DS's price drop wasn't big and lets be hoenst, noone was going to pay any money for that pile of crap. I stil can't believe we as a gaming community accepted the turd that was the original fat DS. Shameful.

Nintendo say a lot of things. Most of it comes out of their ass. Did you not see the list of GBA games? It's not Mother 3 and obscure rare GBA games. This is just a way for those blind nintendo fanboys to feel better about their purchases.

I actually should have mentioned that MS lost money on their price drop by giving away 2 free games(physical copies) and a controller. They also paid for shipping. Nintendo are giving away free old existing games that cost them next to nothing.

Nintendo are just laughing all the way to the bank here/

In the UK it's different because retailers dropped the price because it was selling like crap. So yeah UK consumers probably get the best deals. The price drop in UK will only go down to about 150-160. So basically you paid 20-30 more. Considering their outragoues E-shop prices you'll make that up with about 3-4 games. I also got it cheap with a lot of games. Consumers in US aren't as fortunate.
